On the date of 16th April 2013, the IPL 21st match was played between Royal challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Delhi made 152 runs in the first innings and set a target of 153 for Royal challengers Bangalore. Royal Challengers Bangalore could also make 152 runs and the match was tied. Now, the result of the match was going to be decided by Super Over.

In the Super Over, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers came to bat first. The bowling was given to Umesh Yadav. Chris Gayle was on the strike and going to face the first ball of Umesh Yadav. Umesh Yadav did great work with the ball in the match and gave only 22 runs from his 4 overs and took 2 wickets. Chris Gayle played towards the long-on field straight to the fielder for a single. Now, AB de Villiers was on the strike. AB played a shot towards deep mid-wicket and got a single. Umesh Yadav was very lucky because it was a full toss ball. Umesh Yadav gave only 3 runs off his 4 balls but AB de Villiers showed his class and hit two consecutive sixes on the last two balls. In this way, Royal challengers Bangalore made 15 runs in the Super Over, and Delhi Daredevils needed 16 runs off 6 balls.

Ben Rohrer and David Warner came onto the pitch to bat from Delhi Daredevils. Ravi Rampal was given the responsibility of bowling. On the first ball of Ravi Rampal, David Warner found Chris Gayle on the point field and was caught by him. It was a stunning start for the Royal challengers Bangalore. Then, Irfan Pathan came to bat and played for a boundary on the leg side on the 3rd ball. It was not a great delivery by Ravi Rampal and the game was still on. Now, Delhi needed 12 runs from 3 balls. On the fourth ball, Irfan Pathan played a great shot over the field of fine leg and hit a six. Ravi Rampla tried for a Yorker but it was a full toss. He was very lucky that only a single run was made. Now, Delhi needed 5 runs from 1 ball. Rohrer was on the strike and it was a real pressure time for both the teams. Then, Ravi Rampal did a fabulous job and clean bowled Rohrer. It was a great moment for Ravi Rampal and Royal challengers Bangalore.

RCB won the match by 4 runs in the thriller Super Over. Virat Kohli was given the Man of the Match for his contribution of 65 runs from 50 balls in the second winnings.
