A Prodigy who learnt all the skills from the former Indian bowler. Relying more on outswingers, leg cutters, and able to place the ball in the right place and pace. First picked for the Ranji trophy 2004-05 after putting into local side got a recognition by the team taking 20 wickets for each and every season. He soon developed a variation in inswinger with a variety of stock ball. Vinay has the ability to move around the wicket and take early breakthroughs for the team. As we know many Indian cricketers are from the IPL which is the biggest stage to identify young talents of India. Same as all the fast bowler he too suffered from a lot of injuries and he couldn’t focus on the game for a long time and took a time to recover from those and get back his form in the cricket. Vinay Kumar is one of the finest bowler of RCB and Indian team with the guidance from Venkatesh Prasad he has improved a lot in his bowling and got a lot of change in his temperament. Although his performances in Test were so awful that he might lose his whole contract but RCB gave him a good chance to prove that he shouldn't be through away. Good bowlers like he should be given opportunity to prove themselves and one of such persons is Kumar and Pathan.
