The Trinidad & Tobago wins to top the Group B - The last group match of the Champions league T20 was played between the Group B teams Trinidad & Tobago and Chennai Super Kings. Both the teams had already made it to the playoffs of the Champions League and it was a match through which the 1st and 2nd spot would have been decided. The team from West Indies won the toss and decided to field first. The decision of fielding first was supported well by the bowlers as they struck in the 2nd over of the game taking Michael Hussey. Murali Vijay and Suresh Raina took control of the situation but Vijay after scoring 27 runs lost his wicket. Raina too followed Vijay back to pavilion after scoring 38 runs. This brought in problems for the Chennai Super Kings as the rest of the batsmen failed to click. It was Mahendra Singh Dhoni who managed to score 25 runs to take his team to 118 runs. Other than him no other player even managed to cross the double figure mark. Rayad Emrit took 3 wickets in the game to bring in the difference.

The Trinidad & Tobago Batsmen did the task of scoring 119 runs pretty easily. The openers Evin Lewis and Lindle Simmons did the entire task as they scored 79 runs for the 1st wicket in 10 overs. Simmons scored 63 runs while Lewis scored 38 runs. Darren Bravo completed a successful victory by scoring 11 runs in the end thus taking the team to top of the Group B table. Lendl Simmons was named as the man of the match for his great batting performance in the final match of the group stage. The two teams will now join Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in the Playoffs of the Champions League T20.
