AB de Villiers blow up the West Indies with his batting - The 19th match of the World Cup 2015 was played between two teams of Pool B. it was a matchup between South Africa and West Indies. Both the teams were fighting for the place in the quarter finals and the team winning this game would have it much easier through to the next round. After winning the toss South Africa decided to bat first.

Batting first Quinton de Kock once again failed to start his innings well. After scoring 12 runs the team lost him. The team had a bad start but Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis made sure that the team never fell apart and they together started to build the innings. Du Plessis scored 62 runs before losing his wicket in the 30th over followed by Amla in the same over. Amla after scoring 65 runs lost his way and that brought the team into trouble. The South Africans looked calm and silent but it was a silence before a storm. This storm was named AB de Villiers. He struck at West Indies bowlers and scored 162 runs in just 66 balls. This was a storm which destroyed the game for West Indies. The team scored 408 runs in the end of 50 overs and it was a huge target for opposition to chase.

The West Indies team needed some good start to chase this huge score. There were high hopes from Chris Gayle but on this day the whole batting collapsed for West Indies. The best batting came from Jason Holder the lower order bowler who scored 56 runs. The team was bowled out at 151 runs in just 33.1 overs. Dwayne Smith the opener scored 31 runs while no other batsmen were able to reach the 30 run mark. Imran Tahir was the best bowler who took 5 wicket sin the match. South Africa won the match by 257 runs. AB de Villiers was named as the man of the match for his monstrous innings.
