Quinton de Kock is a cricketer of South Africa who has made a place for himself in the national quad as well as at the domestic level. He was born on December 17, 1992 at Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a left-hand batsman of the top order and is also a wicketkeeper. He currently plays for the teams of the Highveld Lions and Gauteng. His sharp skills behind the stumps and good batting ability have earned him a lot of praise. He has even been compared with the great Mark Boucher because of his ability to score some quick runs. Apart from being a regular member of the national squad, he has also played in the IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad and plays for The Delhi Daredevils.

Quinton de Kock played for the Gauteng senior team at the age of 16 in 2009, followed by playing at the 2012 Under-19 World Cup. This was the turning point in his life as he was selected for the South African national squad.
