Dilshan’s all-round performance help Warriors reach the final of CPL - The Caribbean Premiere League after the league stages entered the knockout stage with the first semi-final being played between the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel and Guyana Amazon Warriors. It was a match between the table topper and the 4th team in the table. The match saw the Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first. The Red Steels didn’t have a good start yet again as they lost first 5 wickets in just 8.1 over of the game. Dwayne Bravo and Nicolas Pooran tried to control the fall of wickets,but failed as Pooran lost his wicket in the 13th over of the game leaving his team to a score of 56. Later Kevon Cooper joined the captain and helped to score some runs for the team. The whole team was bowled out in the 20th over scoring only 103 runs. Tillakaratne Dilshan was the pick of the bowler as he took 2 wickets giving away only 14 runs in his 4 overs.

The Warriors needed only 104 runs to make it to the finals of the tournament. Lendl Simmons failed yet again as he fell in the 3rd over of the game. Later William Perkins and Dilshan together stitched the partnership to take their team to a score of 47. In the 11th over the Dilshan lost his wicket leaving his team to total of 78/3. Dilshan scored 39 runs in just 29 balls. Ramnaresh Sarwan and James Franklin scored the winning runs for the team. With this win the team qualified to the finals of the tournament and Red Steel were knocked out of the tournament. Tillakaratne Dilshan was awarded the man of the match for his amazing all-round performance.
