It was the 11th match of IPL 2020 edition when Delhi and Hyderabad had countered each other. It was played on 29th September at Sheikh Zayed Stadium Dubai. As both teams are with a good batting and bowling attack, an exciting game was expected. DC captain Shreyas Iyer had won the toss and decided to field first.

In the first Inning, David Warner Captain of SRH and Jonny Bairstow opened and provided an excellent start to the team. This opening pair made 77 runs in 9.3 overs when the first wicket was lost in the form of Warner. The second wicket of SRH was also lost quickly in the form of Manish Pandey. Hence the score of the team was 92/2 in 11.2 overs. However, Kane Williamson joined Bairstow, and they made a good partnership. At the end of 20 overs, SRH made 162 runs at a loss of 4 wickets. The bowling attack from DC was not that much impressive. Kagiso Rabada and Amit Mishra got 2 wickets each in their spell of 4 overs. Hence the target given to DC by SRH was not that much challenging, and it seemed DC would easily win the game.

From Delhi team, the inning was opened by Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw. Both of these players are known for their hard-hitting, but this time Prithvi Shaw got out early. The first wicket of DC was lost in first over only. Shreyas Iyer tried to play well but could not play a captain inning and got our in the 8th over. Soon Dhawan also got out, and the game was completely under the control of SRH bowlers. Bowling attack from SRH was highly impressive, and they easily defended the score of the team. No batsmen from DC except Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant could do well, and it proved an easy win for the SRH team.  The middle order of DC was completely collapsed, and no batsmen could play well except Kagiso Rabada who tried to have some big shots and pull the match towards DC side.

At the end of 20 overs, DC could score only 147 runs at a loss of 7 wickets, and hence SRH got a good victory on DC. The player of the match was Rashid Khan who had shown excellent bowling with 3 wickets in 4 overs and given 14 runs only.
