South Africa after beating Zimbabwe makes it to the finals - The 6th match of the tri series was played between Zimbabwe and South Africa. This was a must win match for both the teams as they were looking to qualify for the final and meet Australia there. The Path for South Africa was easy as they with a win can manage it while the home side was hoping for something extra ordinary as they needed to win this match with a bonus point. In this match after winning the toss Zimbabwe decided to field first. The start of the innings brought some cheer for the home fans as the South Africans lost 2 wickets pretty early. Both the openers were back in the pavilion leaving their team at 26/2. Later Faf du Plessis the man in form controlled the innings well and got support from Jean Paul Duminy as they together took their team to total of 271. Du Plessis scored 121 runs while Duminy scored 51 runs while batting. Neville Madziva was able to take 2 wickets in the game.

Zimbabwe was required to score some quick runs against a world class bowling line up. It was one of the toughest tasks that they might have ever faced. The team got off to a cracking start as both the openers took their team to 31 runs in 6 overs. This start was lost soon as the next few overs saw both the openers back in the pavilion. Sikandar Raza after scoring promising 29 runs lost his wicket. Hamiltaon Masakadza and Brendan Taylor both took care of the batting. Masakadza after scoring 26 lost his way while Taylor alone fought hard scoring 79 runs. The lower order collapsed which resulted into yet another loss. The home side managed to score only 208 runs. Jean Paul Duminy took 3 wickets in the match. Faf du Plessis was named as the man of the match as his innings helped his team to make it to the finals to meet Australia.
