The African region has always produced some of the greatest fast bowlers. the current Zimbabwe team has some of the greatest young bowlers who can change the face of Zimbabwe cricket. Tendai Chatara is a name which lies among the young breed of cricketers which the country is producing for the future. Born on February 28th of 1991 in the city of Chimanimani he is a tall and a young fast bowler. He is a right handed batsmen and a right arm fast medium pacer bowler who is lethal with his deliveries.

In the month of September of the year 2009 he made his List A debut for the Mashonaland Eagles. In the same year he made his debut in the first class cricket for the Mountaineers. In both the matches he was not good in taking wickets but he was good with bowling a good line. At the start of 2010 he made his T20 debut for the Mountaineers. This young player’s talent was appreciated by the board and in the year 2013 he was called for the ODI National team to play in the Zimbabwe’s tour of Wes Indies.

In his first match for the national side the player was punished and he tasted the international cricketing arena. Later on the player was given chances and made it to the team as a regular. Tendai made his test debut in the same tour of West Indies. In his 1st test match he took 3 wickets. his good bowling performance has been good and hence he became a regular in the team. this young player has got all in him and can easily have a great future.
