Michael Hussey guides Chennai to a victory against Heats - The 13th match of the Champions league was played at the JSCA stadium of Ranchi. This match included two teams from Australia and India. The Brisbane Heat and Chennai Super Kings came face to face against each other in the game. After winning the toss the team decided to field first. Batting first the Heats lost the 1st wicket in the 1st over itself. James Hopes and Chris Lynn took control of the innings but the men in yellow were able to break the partnership in the 4th over taking the wicket of Hopes after he scored 20 runs. The Super Kings were successful in coming to the top of the match as they stopped the team at 66/6. Chris Hartley and Ben Cutting together built a partnership which saved the team from a humiliating performance. They scored 35 and 42 respectively taking their team to a score of 137 runs. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohit Sharma took 2 wickets each.

The Chennai Super Kings required 138 runs to win the match. The 1st wicket partnership of Murali Vijay and Michael Hussy was worth 75 runs in just 9.2 overs. Vijay after scoring 42 runs lost his wicket. Suresh Raina continued his form as he scored 23 runs and before losing his wicket he made sure that the team had reached a winning position in the match. Hussey was unbeaten throughout the match and he scored 57 runs. The team won the match with 4 overs remaining and hence easily earned the most required 4 points.
