The 22nd match of the CPL 2020 was played between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Barbados Tridents on September 1, Tuesday at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad in evening. Barbados Tridents captain Jason Holder won the toss and chose to bat first.

J Charles and Justin Greaves opened the inning for Barbados Tridents but both openers got out on duck.  Justin Greaves got out on very first ball to Chris Green. Captain Holder got run out on duck on very first ball. It was a very shameful performance by the batsmen of Barbados Tridents. Shai Hope also got out on 5 runs. Mitchell Santner made most 36 runs but he got run out. Rashid Khan also made 19 runs. The Barbados Tridents got all out on 92 runs. Naveen Ul Haq bowled brilliantly for Guyana Amazon Warriors and gave only 14 runs in his 4 over. He also took 4 important wickets.

It was a very small target for Guyana Warriors. Brandon King and Kevin Sinclair opened the inning for Guyana Amazon Warriors. Kevin Sinclair got out early on 3 runs to Rashid Khan but Brandon King played match winning not out 51 runs inning. Shimron Hetmyer also got out early on 9 runs but Nicholas Pooran played good and made not out 18 runs. He made not out 58 runs partnership with Brandon King. Rashid Khan and Hayden Walsh took 1 wicket each for Barbados Tridents but Guyana Amazon Warriors easily won the game in 16.4 over.

Guyana won the game by 8 wickets.  It was a big disappointment by such a good batting order of Barbados Tridents. Naveen Ul Haq was selected as player of the match for his brilliant bowling figure of 4/14. He shifted the game towards Guyana Amazon Warriors early if the inning and helped team to dominate over Barbados Tridents.
