Kings XI Punjab Enter the Semis Beating the Knights by 120 Runs - Kings XI Punjab and Northern Knights came face to face with each other today at the 10th Oppo Champions League T20 Group B match at Mohali. The 13th match of the tournament was held at the Punjab Cricket Association. Kings XI Punjab has already shown their strong batting lineup and deadly attack at the IPL this season. The toss was won by Daniel Flynn, captain of Northern Knights who elected to field first. The team of Kings XI Punjab was same as the previous match. After a couple of back to back wins, the Kings XI Punjab started their innings with amazing confidence. With a batting line-up comprising of run scoring machines like Sehwag, Miller, Maxwell , Saha and Vohra it was a piece of cake for the Kings Xi to put 215 runs on the board at the loss of 5 wickets. The opening partnership of Sehwag and Vohra scored 102. Vohra got out in the 8th over after scoring 65 runs which was the highest.  Sehwag played an impactful knock and scored 52 crucial runs while Miller added 40 valuable runs to the total.

The Northern Knights needed to score 216 runs to win in 20 overs. All their hopes to have a good start were crushed as the first wicket of the Northern innings fell in 1.3 overs when Daniel Harris was caught behind by Wriddhiman Saha. This was followed by a caught behind off the delivery of Thisara Perera and Kane Williamson also got out at the end of 5.6 overs. The third wicket was taken by Akshar Patel at 6.4 overs when Anton Devcich tried to hit a boundary but the ball landed in the hands of Karanveer Singh.

The Northern Knights struggled to combat with the bowling attack and perform under pressure. Finally, they were all out for 95 runs in 15.1 overs and the 120 runs win by Kings XI Punjab took them to top of Group B. Karanveer Singh was the highest wicket taker with 4 wickets in his kitty.
