A powerful performance from the team helped South Africa win the series 3-0 - The 3rd and the final ODI between the Zimbabwe and South Africa was played at Bulawayo stadium. This was the last match of the series and the South Africans were already leading the series by 2-0. In this match the South Africans won the toss and they decided to field first. The Zimbabwe team lost first 2 wickets in the 1st 7 balls of their innings. Sikandar Raza and Elton Chigumbura somewhat helped the fall of wickets. In the 11th over Raza lost his wicket after scoring 30 runs. Sean Williams accompanied Chigumbura in scoring some runs. He lost his wicket in the 22nd over after scoring 17 runs. The score was 89/4 when the wickets started falling easily and the home side started losing it pretty soon. The whole team was bowled out in just 40th over. The home side managed to score 165 runs out of which Chigumbura scored 90 runs to take his team to this total. Marchant de Lange took 3 wickets for the South African side.

The South African innings started off with badly as Rilee Rossouw lost his wicket in the 1st over itself due to a run out. Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis came in together and built a partnership for their team. Together they tool the team to a score of 74 before du Plessis lost his wicket after scoring 40 runs. Jean Paul Duminy joined in Kock to take the team closer to the victory. Kock after scoring 84 runs lost his wicket and later David Miller scored the required runs thus winning the game for the South African side with this win was victorious in the series with 3-0. Quninton de Kock was named as the man of the match for his batting well in the match.
