In the 31st match of the IPL 2013 in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore met Pune Warriors where Bangalore got the chance to bat first. While batting first, they added a huge total of 263 runs which is the highest total in IPL history. Chirs Gayle who came as an opener struck unbeaten 175 runs from just 66 balls with thirteen 4s and seventeen 6s at a strike rate of 265.15. This helped them to cross the milestone of 250+ and in reply, Pune Warriors could make 133 runs and lost the match by 130 runs. Chris Gayle was named Man of the Match and the Most Valuable Player.

A former South African batter, AB de Villiers comes in 2nd place for hitting the fastest century in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He achieved this feat from 43 balls while performing against Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016. In the 44th match of the IPL on 14 May 2016 in Bengaluru, RCB and GL faced each other where RCB got the chance to bat first and they added 248 runs on the scoreboard. For RCB, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, both batters made a century and added 229 runs for the 2nd wicket that helped them to reach that level. AB de Villiers added an unbelievable 129 runs from just 52 balls by hitting ten 4s and twelve 6s at a strike rate of 248.07. When Gujarat came out to chase the target, they could not handle the pressure of a huge target, and the entire squad was demolished at the score of 104 runs. Thus, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 144 runs, and AB de Villiers was named the Man of the Match and the Most Valuable Player of the Game.

He made this effort in just 46 balls while performing against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2011. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab faced each other in the 47th match of the IPL on 6 May 2011 in Bengaluru. After winning the toss, Punjab invited RCB to bat first and they added 205 runs on the scoreboard. For RCB, Chris Gayle once again struck a century and added 107 runs with ten 4s and nine 6s at a strike rate of 218.36. In reply, Kings XI Punjab did not get a good start and their batters struggled in the entire game. Thus, they could make 120 runs only and lost the match by 85 runs. Chirs Gayle was named Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player in that match.

In the 40th match of the IPL 2015 against Kings XI Punjab, RCB added 226 runs on the scoreboard while batting first with the help of the incredible 117 runs of Chris Gayle. He came as an opener and struck 100+ runs with seven 4s and twelve 6s at a strike rate of 205.26. In reply, Punjab looked under pressure from the beginning of their chase and could make 88. Thus, RCB achieved victory over Punjab by 138 runs, and Chris Gayle was named Man of the Match and the Most Valuable Player in that game.

AB de Villiers is holding the 5th place for making the fastest century in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He made this feat from 47 balls while playing against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2015. The Wankhede Stadium of Mumbai welcomed both RCB and Mumbai for playing the 46th day/night match of the IPL 2015. Royal Challengers Bangalore decided to bat first after winning the toss and added 235 runs on the scoreboard. In the entire inning of the RCB, Ab de Villiers looked in awesome form and added unbeaten 133 runs from just 59 balls by hitting nineteen 4s and four 6s at a strike rate of 225.42. In reply, Mumbai could not handle the pressure of such a huge target and could make 196 runs. Thus, RCB won the match by 39 runs and AB de Villiers was named Man of the Match and the Most Valuable Player of the Game.
