Fastest 50 in IPL For RCB

Royal Challenger Bangalore is one of the most famous squads in the Indian Premier League which has got plenty of fan followings. Faf du Plesis, a former South African captain, is the team's current captain of RCB in 2023. RCB reached the final of IPL twice i.e in 2011 where they were defeated by CSK and again in 2016 losing to SRH.

So, let's check out some of the fastest 50 in IPL by RCB:

1. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle is standing at the top position for making the fastest 50 in the history of IPL for RCB. He achieved this feat from 17 balls while playing against Pune Warriors in 2013. In the 31st match of the IPL 2013 on 23 April, Pune and Bangalore faced each other where RCB made a huge total of 263 runs, all thanks to Chris Gayle who made unbeaten 175 runs from 66 balls with thirteen 4s and seventeen 6s at a strike rate of 265.15. RCB won that match by 130 runs and Chris Gayle was named Man of the Match for his incredible innings.

2. Robin Uthappa 

Robin Uthappa is sitting at the 2nd position for striking the fastest 50 in IPL for RCB. He did this feat from 19 balls while playing against Kings XI Punjab in 2010. In the 7th match of the IPL 2010 on March 16, RCB and KXIP faced each other in the home ground of RCB in Bangalore. Punjab got the chance to bat first and they made a huge total of 203 runs on the scoreboard and set the target of 204 for Bangalore. In reply, Bangalore started well and added 74 runs for the 1st wicket. Then the rest of the work is handled by Robin Utahappa and Jacques Kallis.  Robin Uthappa also contributed a crucial innings of 51 runs from just 21 balls with four 4s and four 6s at a strike rate of 242.85. 

3. AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers is holding the 3rd position for making the fastest 50 in the IPL for RCB. He made 50 runs from just 21 balls when RCB and Rajasthan Royals faced each other in the 30th match of the IPL 2013. RCB got the chance to bat first and added 189 for 3 on the scoreboard and AB de Villiers contributed unbeaten 59 runs from 23 deliveries only. On the other hand, Rajasthan could not perform well and lost the match by 43 runs. AB de Villiers was named Man of the Match for his outstanding match-winning innings.

4. Robin Uthappa

RObin Uthappa is once again listed at the number 4th position for making the quickest 50 in IPL for RCB. He achieved this feat from 22 balls while playing against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010. In the 43rd match of the IPL 2010 on April 10, RCB and KKR faced each other where added 160 on the scoreboard. In reply, RCB successfully chased the target of 161 runs in 17.1 overs where Uthappa made unbeaten 50 runs from 22 balls with four 4s and four 6s at a strike rate of 227.27.

5. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle is standing at the 5th position for making the fastest 50 in IPL for RCB from 22 balls only. He achieved this feat in the 40th match of the IPL 2015 against Kings XI Punjab on 6 May in Bangalore where RCB added 226 runs on the scoreboard because of the 117 runs of Gayle. In reply, Punjab could make only 88 runs and lost the match by 138 runs. Gayle was named Man of the Match for his match-winning innings.
