Fastest 50 in ODI For Afghanistan

Afghanistan is one of the rapidly rising teams in the cricketing world and has often surprised its opponents with its performance. The credit for the success of Afghanistan goes to some of the players who are skilled enough to perform with both bat and ball. 1. Mohammad Nabi

Mohammad Nabi, the all-round performer of Afghanistan, holds the record for making the fastest 50 in ODI for Afghanistan. He did this superb job while playing against Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2023. Sri Lanka set a target of 292 runs for Afghanistan where Mohammad Nabi played a tremendous innings of 65 runs from 32 balls but could not get the victory for his team and lost the match by just 2 runs.

2. Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Mujeeb Ur Rahman stands in the 2nd position for making the fastest 50 in ODI for Afghanistan. He made this feat in just 26 balls while playing against Pakistan at Colombo in 2023. In Asia
Cup 2023, Afghanistan and Pakistan met for the 3rd ODI where Pakistan got the chance to bat first and they gave a target of 269 runs to Afghanistan. In reply, Afghanistan could make 209 including the 64 runs of Mujeeb Ur Rahman from 37 balls.

3. Rashid Khan

Rashid  Khan comes in 3rd place for hitting the fastest century in One Day International for Afghanistan. He made this superb effort in just 27 balls while performing against Ireland in Abu Dhabi in 2020-21. Rashid Khan not only performs with the bat but is one of the most successful spinners of the Afghanistan team. When Ireland went to Afghanistan to play an ODI series, Rashid Khan added 55 runs in 30 balls that helped them to secure a winning total.

4. Mohammad Nabi

Mohammad Nabi is in 4th position for contributing the quickest 50 in ODI for Afghanistan. He made this feat in just 28 balls while playing against Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo in 2014. Afghanistan went to Zimbabwe for an ODI series where both teams met for the 1st ODI. Afghanistan batter Nabi performed well in that match and added 54 runs from 33 balls but could not save the match.

5. Shafiqullah Shinwari

Shafiqullah Shinwari is standing at the number 5th position for adding quick runs in the ODI including the fastest 50 in ODI for Afghanistan. He did this feat in 28 balls while facing the Ireland bowlers in Greater Noida in  2016-17. Afghanistan and Ireland faced each other in the 3rd ODI where Shinwari batted well and 50 runs while batting first but could not add a winning total and lost the match by 6 wickets.
