Men in Yellow start off with a win hint he CLT20 - The most consistent team of IPL Chennai Super Kings started off their campaign for these years Champions League T20 against the Titans the team from South Africa. After winning the toss Chennai Super Kings decided to field first. Batting first the Titans got off to a solid start as Henry Davids and Jacques Rudolph managed to score 46 runs in the 1st 7 overs. Rudolph after scoring 21 runs lost his wicket in the last ball of the 7th over. AB de Villiers joined Davids in the onslaught and made sure that the gained momentum is not lost in the middle of the innings. Davids after scoring 52 runs lost his wicket in the 14th over of the game. AB de Villiers managed to score an outstanding 77 runs off just 36 balls. He got his support in the form of Farhaan Behardien as he scored 21 important runs. Titans with the help of Villiers innings managed to score 185 runs in 20 overs. Dwayne Bravo managed to take 2 wickets for the men in yellow.

The Chennai Super Kings got a good start from the top order of the team as Mike Hussey and Suresh Raina gave the team a good start. They both scored 47 runs each to take their team to a total of 114 runs. S Badrinath managed to support his team well. While Dwayne Bravo managed to provide the edge to his team with a 38 runs innings which took his team cross the required target with 7 balls remaining. Rowan Richards was the best bower for the Titans as he took 3 wickets in the match. Suresh Raina who scored 47 runs in just 28 balls winning the man of the match award for his performance. With this the men in yellow earned the important 4 points in Group B of CLT20.
