Trinidad and Tobago wins the 1st match with some spirited bowling - The 2nd match of the Champions League T20 was played between the team from Australia, Brisbane Heats and the team from West Indies Trinidad & Tobago. The match was played at the newly built JSCA international stadium of Ranchi. After winning the toss the Brisbane Heat decided to field first. The Trinidad & Tobago went off to a flying start as they scored 28 runs in first 3 overs. But in the process they lost the wicket of Lendl Simmons who scored 14 runs. The next over of the game saw the fall of Darren Bravo who was out without even scoring a single run. The 5th over of the game saw the fall of yet another wicket as the opener Evin Lewis after scoring 19 runs got out leaving his team at 38/3. Jason Mohammed and Denesh Ramdin controlled the innings a bit as Ramdin managed to score most of the runs in the partnership. They together took the team to a score of 71 runs in 10 overs. The 1st ball of the 11th saw the fall of Jason Mohammad. Denesh Ramdin scored 48 runs while the rest of the team failed to score much. The team managed to score 135 runs at the end of 20 overs as the last 3 wickets of the team fell in just 2 runs. Aister McDermott took 4 wickets in the innings.

The required score was pretty low and the Brisbane Heat needed to bat it out to win the match. The Trinidad & Tobago managed to take wickets in the start of innings. James Hopes lost his wicket in the 3rd over of the game. Later Joe Burns, Peter Forrest and Daniel Christian scored some runs to stop the team from falling apart. They scored 45,16 and 13 runs respectively but their work wet in vain as the middle order of the team fell apart and the Brisbane heat were all out for the score of 110. Ravi Rampaul took 4 wickets giving away only 14 runs. Denesh Ramdin was named as the man of the match for his batting performance.
