The 3rd or last T20I match of the series between South Africa and England was played on December 1, Tuesday, at Newlands Cricket Ground. England was leading the series by 2-nil. South African captain De Kock won the toss and elected to bat first. 

T Bavuma and Quinton de Kock opened the inning for the Proteas. Quinton de Kock got out early on 17 runs to Chris Jordan. Jordan took his wicket in all 3 games of the series. T Bavuma showed some good shots and made 32 runs. He got out to Ben Stokes. R Hendricks also failed to score runs for his team. He made only 13 runs and got caught behind to a slower ball by Ben Stokes.  South Africa was struggling at 64/3 after half of the inning. Faf du Plessis and Van der Dussen made a brilliant partnership for South Africa. They made not out partnership of 127 runs. Faf du Plessis made not out 52 runs, and Van der Dussen scored most not out 74 runs in just 32 balls for the team. He smashed 5 sixes in his inning. They helped South Africa to get a huge total of 191 runs. Ben Stokes took 2 wickets for England.

Jason Roy and Jos Buttler opened the inning for England and gave only 25 runs opening partnership to team. Jason Roy got out on 16 runs to Anrich Nortje. Dawid Malan came to bat at the number 3 position. He played an unbelievable inning for England. He showed why he is the number 1 batsman of T20 Internationals. He played fearless cricket and completely dominated over the South African bowlers. Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan finished the game for England with an unbelievable partnership of not out 167 runs. Dawid Malan made not out 99 runs in just 47 balls. He smashed 11 fours and 5 sixes in his inning. It was really a pleasure to watch him bat. Jos Buttler also made not out 67 runs in 46 balls. England won the match by 9 wickets and finished the game in only 17.4 overs.

England won the series by 3-0, and it was complete dominance by English cricket in South Africa. Dawid Malan was selected as player of the match for his, not out 99 runs. He was also selected as a player of the series for his brilliant batting performance in the series. He was the leading run-scorer in the series.
