In the coming month of June, the Bangladesh cricket board has decided to visit the West Indies in order to play 2 test match bilateral series in the West Indies. Since the series comes under the ICC World Test Championship 2023, the result of the series will impact the position of both the teams in the points table World Test Championship 2023. Currently, Bangladesh is at the 8th position whereas West Indies is sitting at the 7th position in the ICC World Test Championship’s standing. West Indies vs Bangladesh test series 2022 will begin with the first test match on 16-20 June at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, and the series will conclude on 24-28 June at Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, Gros Islet.
Most probably, Mominul Haque will handle the captaincy of the Test squad for Bangladesh under the guidance of Russell Domingo as a coach. West Indies will enter the series under the captaincy of Kraigg Brathwaite and their coach will be Phil Simmons. Currently, Bangladesh stands at the 9th position whereas Windies is listed at 8th position in ICC Test team ranking. In terms of ranking, there is not much difference between both the teams, so both the teams have the capability to give a tough competition to each other. West Indies will have the benefit of their home ground and they are more experienced than Bangladesh but the Windies will not take Bangladesh easy.
