Bowlers guides Australia to level the series against South Africa - After winning the 1st T20 in the series of 3 matches the South Africans were required to win the 2nd match to seal the series. The 2nd T20 was played in the Melbourne Cricket Ground. After winning the toss this time around South Africa decided to bat first.

Batting first the team didn’t get the start they were expecting. The Australian bowlers made sure that the visiting team was not allowed to come over them. The 1st 2 wickets fell in the starting 2 overs of the innings. Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw were the two batsmen who reached the pavilion early. Reeza Hendricks was the next to follow in the 9th over of the game. He scored 18 runs and helped his team reach a score of 46 runs before losing his wicket. Jean-Paul Duminy was the only batsman in the field for South Africa who showed some class and tried to control the ship. He played a knock of 49 runs but was the last wicket to fall for the visitors in the 19th over. He left his team at a score of 97 and the team managed to reach only 101 in 20 overs.

The target of 102 was a pretty simple one for the home team. Ben Dunk and Aaron Finch were the two players who provided a great start to the team taking the score to 42 in just 4.3 overs. This start almost closed all gates for the visitors. Dunk after scoring 23 lost his wicket and brought in Shane Watson. He along with Finch scored 30 runs before losing his wicket at a score of 92 in 11th over. Later Finch remained not out at a score of 44 as his team won the match with 44 balls remaining.
