The cricket team of Sri Lanka will visit West Indies and play a 2-match test series. Both matches of this series will be played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua. The pitch of this ground is known for its support to bowlers and hence it will be a little tricky for the batsmen to stay on the pitch for a long time.
The first test will start on March 21 at 10 AM ECT/ 9 AM JT. Both teams have good batsmen who can play good innings and hence it will be interesting to see the performance of bowlers and batsmen. The guest team has some of the known players in this format which can be positive for them to seal the match. However, young talented players from the host team also have proven their quality in international test matches and hence it will not be easy for SL to have a big score and win the match.
The second test of this series will begin on March 29. The result of the first match may make this match a series-decider one or equal the series. The result of this match will also influence the ICC test ranking of both teams and hence this match will be much important for both sides. The host team will have local fan support and advantage of playing at home but the guest team also holds good experience playing in foreign countries and hence able to fight well. None of the sides has announced teams and captains yet. Both teams have players in-form and hence it will be good to see the experienced players countering each other. The bowling attack of West Indies side is known for performance but there are quality batsmen on Sri Lanka side also who can easily handle them and place a good score. Hence for cricket fans, it will be a good match to enjoy.
