Australia wins against South Africa to seal a place in the final - The Tri series played between Zimbabwe, Australia and South Africa after the last match became more interesting. The mighty Australians faced two defeats in the series and the one against Zimbabwe was a humiliating one. The Australia cricket team came face to face against the South African cricket team in the 5th match of the series. After winning the toss the South Africans decided to field first and put Australia into bat. Phil Hughes gave his team a good start as he scored 85 runs in the match. He was helped on by Steven Smith as they together put up a good partnership for the 2nd wicket. The Australians seemed to have lost the way as too many wickets fell in the middle but later Mitchell Marsh saved the day as he scored an unbeaten 86 runs to guide his team to a total of 282 at the end of 50 overs. Aaron Phangiso was the best bowler for the South Africans as he took 2 wickets giving away only 39 runs in his 10 overs.

South Africans love playing against the Australians and they have managed to chase big targets against this team. This time around it was a different story as the openers of South Africans were unable to provide a good start and hence lost both the wickets quite cheaply. It was Faf du Plessis who was the lone batsmen standing for the South Africans. He scored 126 runs in the innings and was the lone batsmen as others lost their wickets pretty cheaply. The South Africans managed to score only 220 runs and lost all their wickets in just 44 overs. Mitchell Marsh was also successful in taking 2 wickets while bowling. For his all-round performance he also was elected as the man of the match. With this win the Australians sealed their place in the finals of the Tri-series.
