After two days of gap the 42nd match of IPL 7 has been kicked off at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi and ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE got their 2nd consecutive win against CHENNAI SUPER KINGS in a nail-biting encounter. Early in the game M.S. Dhoni won the toss for CSK and elected to bat first. However, Chennai started their innings quite poorly as Dwayne Smith and Brendon McCullum went early by the brilliance of Varun Aaron. David Hussey returned to play for CSK from the commentary box and he did pretty well in the match. Suresh Raina played a responsible unbeaten innings of 62 runs in 48 balls and Hussey supported him well with 29-balls 25 runs knock. Anyway, MS Dhoni (C) (W) the king of finisher failed to play a decent innings today as he scored only 7 runs in 6 balls. Chennai managed to put 138 runs on their scoreboard in their allotted 20 overs. 

In the first innings RCB bowlers gave a decent performance as Varun Aaron demolished the top order of CSK by taking 2 wickets in the very beginning. Muttiah Muralidaran claimed 1 wicket also and conceded 29 runs in his limited 4 overs. Abu Nechim bowled a brilliant spell as he got the Kanna Keep calm award by taking 1 wicket with the economy rate of 4.50. 

In reply, RCB lost 1 early wicket of Parthiv Patel (W) (10 of 14 balls), but after that Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli (C) carried away the innings of Bangalore steadily as they scored 46 runs of 50 balls and 27 runs of 29 balls respectively. The rest of the job was done by AB de Villiers, he scored 28 runs in 14 balls with the strike rate of 200 and he was given the Man of the Match award because outstanding strike rate in a low scoring match. Yuvraj Singh played a unbeaten innings of 13 runs in the end to grab much needed 2 points for RCB. 

CSK bowler did a decent job to carry away the match to the last over as Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a outstanding spell with a maiden over and he also claimed 2 wickets by considering 16 runs in his limited 4 overs. David Hussey also took 2 wickets in his first match of IPL 7 but he was a bit of expensive as he conceded 38 runs by just bowling 2.5 overs during the match. After all, RCB won the match by 5 wickets with 1 ball left, that’s all that matters.
