New Zealand makes a comeback to win the series and the match - The West Indies and New Zealand test series has really been a treat for the fans. It has shown why the tests are known as the real form of cricket to the world. The team needs to play all the sessions well and not a single good session can win the match for the team. The third and the final test match of the series was played in Kennington Oval cricket stadium in Bridgetown. Before the start of the game the series was tied to 1-1. The visitors after winning the toss decided to bat first in the match.

Day 1 of the test match was not good for the kiwis as they were bowled out by the West Indian bowlers. The New Zealand batsman failed to last one whole day as they scored only 293 runs in the first innings. Jimmy Neesham was the top scorer for the team scoring 78 runs. Both the openers lost their wickets pretty cheaply scoring only 28 runs. It was Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor who together stitched a partnership together to take the team out of danger. Later some good performance from the lower order made them reach a fighting score. Sulieman Benn was the best bowler for the home side taking 5 wickets in the innings. West Indies on the other hand ended the day scoring 32 runs without losing any wicket.

The Day 2 of the game saw only a game off 33 overs. In the 33 overs of the day West Indies lost both the openers. The first wicket fell at the score of 79 while the second was lost at a score of 153. The day ended with home side standing on 169 runs. Chris Gayle scored 42 runs while Kraigg Brathwaite scored 68 runs for the team. Just after lunch rain hit the game and then the days play was called off.

The third day of the game saw the decline of home side in the match. The team lost all the wickets just scoring 317 runs. At once it looked that the team will take a good lead but soon they fell easily to some good bowling by Neil Wagner who took 4 wickets in the innings. By the end of Day 3 the visitors were back in a strong position as they scored 123 runs losing only 3 wickets. Kane Williamson and Brendon McCullum were on the crease by the end of the day.

The fourth day of the match saw the visitors take some great lead in the match. This lead was possible for some great batting from Williamson and Neesham. The former scored 161 runs while the later scored yet another half century. The kiwi scored 331 runs in the second innings setting target of 308 runs for the home side. Kemar Roach was the top wicket taker in this innings.

The target of 308 is a tricky one for anyone. But the home side failed to get a good start they lost the first 4 wickets at 81 runs. A late batting display by the lower middle order raised some hope for the team but soon the good times ended as wickets kept on falling. Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Mark Craig took 3 wickets each to make their win the third match. With this win they completed the series win in West Indies with 2-1. Kane Williamson was awarded both man of the match and series title for his good batting display.
