1. AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers, the former skipper of South Africa holds the record of making the fastest century in Test for South Africa. He added this feat in 75 balls while performing against India in Centurion in 2010-11. During India's visit to South Africa, both nations met each other for the 1st test where AB played an incredible innings of 129 runs in the first innings which helped them to win the match by an innings and 25 runs.

 

2. Hashim Amla

Hashim Amla is sitting in 2nd place for hitting the fastest century in a Test for South Africa. He added this incredible inning in 87 balls while facing Australian bowlers at Perth in 2012–13. South Africa went to Australia to play a test series where both nations met for the 3rd test. Hash Amla could not do much in the first inning but he played superbly in the second innings and added 169 runs including the fastest century of his test career.

 

3. Denis Lindsay

The former South African player, Denis Lindsay is listed in third place for hitting the fastest century in the Test for South Africa. He made this major effort in 95 balls while performing against Australia in 1966. During Australia's visit to South Africa, both teams faced each other for the 1st test where Denis Lindsay played a superb innings of 182 runs in the 2nd innings that helped them to win the match by 233 runs.

 

4. Jonty Rhodes

Jonty Rhodes is placed in the 4th place for hitting the fastest century in Test cricket for South Africa. He made this record in 95 balls while playing against West Indies in 1998-99. West Indies went to South Africa to play a test series where both nations met for the 5th Test. In the 2nd innings of the match, Jonty Rhodes added 103 runs from 95 balls helping South Africa to achieve a winning total. 

 

5. Shaun Pollock

The former skipper of South Africa, Shaun Pollock registered himself in 5th place for making the quickest century in a Test for South Africa. He did this feat in 95 balls while playing against Sri Lanka at Centurion in 2001-02. Sri Lanka went to South Africa to play a test series where both the nations met for the 3rd test. Shaun Pollock played a captaincy inning of 111 runs in the first innings helping them to achieve a winning total.
