Afghanistan all-rounder, Mohammad Nabi holds the top place for hitting the quickest 50 runs in T20 international for Afghanistan. He made this record in just 21 balls while playing against Ireland in Greater Noida in 2017. Afghanistan and Ireland met in India to play 3rd T20I where Afghanistan got the chance to bat first. Afghanistan batter Nabi added 89 runs from 30 balls while batting first which helped them to reach a winning total of 233 runs.
2. Najibullah Zadran
Najibullah Zadran comes in 2nd place for making the fastest 50 in T20I for Bangladesh. He did this feat in 22 balls while facing the UAE bowlers in Dubai (DSC) in 2016. Afghanistan went to UAE for a T20 series where both nations met for the 2nd T20I. UAE set a target of 180 runs and in reply, Afghanistan batters played well especially Najibullah Zadran who added 55 runs in just 24 balls that helped them to achieve the target and win the match by 5 wickets.
3. Hazratullah Zazai
Hazratullah Zazai is sitting in 3rd place for achieving the fastest T20I 50 for Afghanistan and he did this job in just 22 balls while performing against Ireland at Bready in 2018. During Afghanistan’s tour to Ireland, both nations met for the 1st T20I in Bready where Afghanistan added 160 runs on the scoreboard while batting first. He achieved this accomplishment in 22 balls while playing against Sri Lanka in Sharjah in 2022. In the T20 Asia Cup 2022, Afghanistan met Sri Lanka for the 7th match where Rahmanullah Gurbaz came out as an opener for Afghanistan and added 84 runs in 45 balls including his career’s fastest T20I 50 but ultimately Afghanistan could not win the match. Despite Afghanistan losing the match, Rahmanullah Gurbaz was named Man of the Match.
