Wahab Riaz’s all-round show takes Pakistan home against Zimbabwe - Pakistan is one of the big teams who failed to impress on the other hand Zimbabwe was a team which impressed a lot in this tournament. The team emerged as a mature one as they faced high difficulties in the tournament. In this must win tie for Pakistan they after winning the toss decided to bat first.

The Pakistan started off in the similar fashion losing both the batsmen up early. Nasir Jamshed and Ahmed Shehzad lost their wickets in the first 4 overs of the game scoring only 1 and 0 runs. Haris Sohail and Misbah-ul-Haq stitched together a partnership. They together took the team to a score of 58 in 20 overs when Haris lost his wicket after scoring only 27 runs. Umar Akmal the came into help the captain with partnering him with some sensible batting. He scored 33 runs for his team before losing his wicket in the 34th over. He left his team when the team were at 127/4. Boom Boom Afridi one again was a failure in Australia. Wahab Riaz came out to bat and he scored 54 runs helping his team to reach a score of 54 runs. Misbah behaved as an anchor as he scored 73 runs in the innings and lost his wicket in the 47th over. Tendai Chatara took 3 wickets in this game and was the best bowler for Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe got a bad start as they lost both their openers early. Sikandar Raza and Chamu Chibhabha after scoring only 8 and 9 runs respectively lost their wickets. Hamilton Masakadza and Brendan Taylor scored 29 and 50 runs respectively. They took their team to a score of 74 when Masakadza lost his wicket followed by Taylor who fell when his team was at 128 runs. Sean Williams scored 33 runs before losing his wicket. Later the wickets fell pretty early and Elton Chigumbura scored 35 runs and gave the team a bit hope. Zimbabwe dominated the match for the full time but was unable to reach the target. They were bowled out at a score of 215 runs. Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Irfan took 4 wickets each as Pakistan registered win in this match. Wahab Riaz was named as the man of the match for his all-round performance.
