The 4th T20 match of the Pakistan Super League was fought between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators at National Stadium, Karachi on 22 Feb 2021. Lahore had already started its journey with the victory against Peshawar Zalmi in the second match of PSL 2021 and the Gladiators lost their first match against Karachi Kings. The Qalandars won the toss and invited the opposition to bat first. Tom Banton and Saim Ayub were sent to open and Shaheen Shah Afridi got the new ball in hand.

Quetta Gladiators did not get a good start and both the openers were sent back by Lahore bowlers at the score of 12 runs only. After the dismissal, Chris Gayle and Sarfaraz Ahmed were on the crease to handle the situation. After losing early wickets, Gayle and Sarfaraz played nicely under pressure and built up a partnership of 101 runs that helped Quetta to reach the defending score of 178 runs. Gayle played well and made 68 runs, Sarfaraz also supported him and contributed 40 runs. Haris Rauf was the most successful bowler from the Lahore side and took 3 wickets. The Qalandars got the target of 179 runs from 120 balls to win the match.

Fakhar Zaman and Sohail Akhtar came on the crease to chase the target and started well. Lahore had made 48 runs without any loss at the end of the mandatory Powerplay. They lost their first wicket of Akhtar at 64 runs but that did not affect Lahore's batsmen. The unbeaten partnership of Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez helped the team to achieve the target comfortably. Fakhar made 82 runs and Hafeez contributed 73 runs in the match. That was the second consecutive win of the Qalandars in the 6th edition of PSL.
