The 2nd match of the 3 matches T20 International series between South Africa and England was played on November 29, 2020, Sunday at Boland Park, Paarl. It was a do or die match for the South African team to keep series alive. England was leading the series by 1-0. England won the toss and elected to field first.

T Bavuma and skipper Quinton de Kock opened the inning for South Africa. T Bavuma got out early of the inning to Jofra Archer on 13 runs. Reeza Hendricks came to bat on number 3 position. Quinton de Kock played some good shots and made 30 runs in 18 balls. The pitch was helping the spin bowlers, and it was a slow wicket to bat on.  Faf du Plessis failed to score runs for South Africa in this match and got out on just 11 runs to Adil Rashid. South Africa batting was struggling on 95/5 then George Linde and Van der Dussen made a partnership of 44 runs and helped South Africa to reach at 146 runs in 20 overs. Van der Dussen played not out 25 runs inning for South Africa. Adil Rashid bowled brilliantly and took 2 wickets for England. It was a target of 147 runs for England to win the match.

Jason Roy and Jos Buttler opened the English inning and made a small opening partnership of 25 runs. Jason Roy got out on 14 runs. Jos Buttler was looking good, but he also got out on 22 runs. England team was struggling against spin bowlers of South Africa. David Malan played a brilliant fighting inning for his team.  He showed why he is in number 1 ranking spot in ICC T20 International batsman ranking. He played the spin bowlers brilliantly and made a match-winning partnership of 51 runs with Morgan. David Malan scored most 55 runs in 40 balls for England. England skipper Eoin Morgan finished the game for his team. He made not out 26 runs in 17 balls. England chased the target in 19.5 overs and won the match by 4 wickets.

T Shamsi bowled brilliantly for South Africa. He was unplayable and took 3 wickets by giving only 19 runs in his 4 overs. Lungi Ngidi proved as the most expensive bowler for South Africa in the match. England won the 2nd match and sealed the series of 3 matches by 2-0. David Malan was awarded as the player of the match for his brilliant match-winning half-century.
