The 21st match of the CPL 2020 was played between Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders on September 1, Tuesday at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. The Tallawahs captain Rovman Powell won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Sunil Narine was available and opened the inning for Trinbago Knight Riders with Lendl Simmons and gave good speedy start to team. Narine made 29 runs in 11 balls. Colin Munro also showed brilliant batting performance. He made 65 runs in 54 balls. He got out to C Brathwaite but he batted very well and helped team to score good runs. Wicket-keeper batsman Tim Seifert also made quick 18 runs while captain Pollard finished the inning and made not out 33 runs in just 16 balls. Trinbago Knight Riders made a huge total of 184 runs in their 20 over. Sandeep Lamichhane bowled good deliveries and gave 20 runs in his 4 over and also took 1 wicket. Carlos Brathwaite also took 2 wickets for Jamaica Tallawahs.

It was a target of 185 runs for Jamaica to win the game. Jamaican opener Chadwick Walton got out on very first ball on duck to A Hosein. It was a horrible start for Jamaica Tallawahs. Glenn Phillips played good cricket and made 41 runs in pressure situation. Captain Powell got out on just 2 runs. N Bonner also made 26 runs. Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaite gave response to Trinbago bowlers but it was too late. Andre Russell made not out 50 runs in just 23 balls and Carlos Braithwaite also made 21 not out but Jamaica could manage 165 runs only in their 20 over.

Trinbago Knight Riders won the game by 19 runs. Fawad Ahmed took most 2 wickets for Trinbago.  Colin Munro was selected as player of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
