The 12th match of the CPL 2020 was played between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Jamaica Tallawahs on August 25, Tuesday at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad at evening. Jamaica Tallawahs captain R Powell won the toss and decided to field first.
Guyana Amazon openers failed to give a good start to team and both openers got out very early. Shimron Hetmyer also got out very early in the inning on 5 runs to Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Ross Taylor showed some batting potential against the bowling attack of Jamaica and scored 23 runs in 22 balls. Wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran also got out on 15 runs to Mujeeb Ur Rahman. It was a target of 109 runs to win the match for Jamaica Tallawahs. Glenn Philips and Chadwick Walton opened the inning for the Talawahs. Chadwick Walton got out early but Glenn Philips made 26 runs and Jermaine Blackwood also made 23 runs. Captain R Powell could not score good runs for his team and got out on 2 runs. N Bonner and Andre Russell both played not out innings and finished the game for Jamaica Tallawahs. They made not out 51 runs partnership. N Bonner made 30 runs on 32 balls and Andre Russell made 23 runs on 20 balls. Jamaica Tallawahs won the game in 18th over by 5 wickets. Mujeeb Ur Rahman was selected as player of the match.
