Bowlers help the Tallawahs win against the Tridents - The 20th match of the Caribbean Premiere League saw Jamaica Tallawahs come face to face with the Barbados Tridents. The Tallawahs were put into bat after they lost the toss. Batting first the top order made full use of the opportunity to provide their team a solid base. Chadwick Walton scored 25 runs and was first to go. Chris Gayle the captain of the team scored 39 runs along with Owais Shah who played a knock of 42 runs. Shah lost his wicket in the 16th over of the game when the score was 114/2. With 8 wickets in hand the team looked set for scoring high amount of runs and thus making life difficult for the Tridents. But the bowlers made a great comeback in the last part of the innings. They took wickets at a regular rate towards the end and hence made sure that the team never ran away with the match. The Tallawahs were able to score only 147 runs in the end of 20 overs. Ravi Rampaul took 4 wickets in the innings.

The Tallawahs in this season has had one of the best bowling line ups. The bowlers have made sure that scoring runs against them is a real tough task. In this match too the Tridents lost 3 quick wickets which included the wicket of Dwayne Smith. In the 7th over the team was standing at 27/3. The wickets for the Tallawahs never stopped coming and they were successful in taking up wickets at regular intervals. Shoaib Malik was the only exception in the Tridents who was able to score runs. He played an unbeaten knock of 81 runs but never got support from the other end. The Tridents scored only 128 runs in 20 overs. The Tallawahs won yet another match thus went in equal with points to the Red Steel in the points table. Jerome Taylor took 2 wickets giving away only 11 runs and he was named as the man of the match for it.
