This year CPL edition, i.e. CPL 2020 was held from 18th August to 26th Septmeber 10, 2020. Total of 6 CPL teams participated in this tournament. Last year, Barbados Tridents won the CPL 2019 by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final match. This was the 2nd CPL title for Barbados team. This year, Trinbago Knight Riders won the 2020 CPL Trophy.
The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is also one of the popular cricket tournaments from the West Indies. The format of this championship is also just like the Indian Premier League (IPL). It is a Caribbean T20 cricket league, which was inaugurated in 2013 by West Indian cricket board. Six city-based franchises teams participate in the championship. It has got players not only from the domestic level but also from international platforms.
The Caribbean Premier League has replaced the old Caribbean Twenty20, which was also popular among the cricket lovers. The new form of this league is doing great and is all set for its 8th edition. The format of the tournament is the same as any other league with double round-robin and Knockout finals. The Caribbean Premier League matches are organized in selected locations after the pandemic Coronavirus for its latest edition. However, the live telecast of the match will surely entertain the game lovers.

Carribean Premier League 2020 Teams
The Six CPL Teams which participate in the league are Guyana Amazon Warriors, Jamaica Tallawahs, Barbados Tridents, Trinbago Knight Riders, St Lucia Zouks and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Out of these 6 teams in the league, 3 teams have won the title at least once, but the rest of 3 teams have never won CPL T20 title till now. This list has teams which are Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts and St Lucia Zouks.
Chris Gayle is the most successful batsman, while Dwayne Bravo is the most successful bowler in the league.
Gayle has scored most runs (2354) in the league, and Dwayne Bravo has taken the most wickets (97).
The CPL 2020 matches was held only in Trinidad because of the pandemic Coronavirus. It is expected that the CPL matches will be telecasted live on a TV channel named Sony Six. CPL Schedule 2020 India Timings (IST) - In India, CPL 2020 matches was live telecasted after 9:30 hours of scheduled time. For example, 10am matches will be live telecasted here in India from 7:30pm in night, 02:15pm matches will be telecasted around 00:00am next day, 05:30pm matches will be telecasted in India next day in the the morning 3am.
CPL Schedule 2020 Pakistan Timings (PKT) - There is a difference of 30 min in time between India and Pakistan. All matches was telecasted 30min before in Pakistan as the time given above for India.

CPL 2020 was in 3 phase. First 10 matches was played in Brian Lara Stadium, then next 10 matches was played in Queen's Park Oval and then finally remaining 13 matches was played again in Brian Lara Stadium including CPL T20 semi final and CPL final match.
