First DLF IPL i.e. Indian Premier League was started on April 18, 2008 and the final match of 1st IPL T20 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Chennai Super Kings batted first and scored 163 runs in 20 overs. Rajasthan Royals got target of 164 runs but they started really bad and one time CSK started dominating but Yusuf Pathan changed the game and scored 56 runs in just 39 balls and Rajasthan Royals won the final IPL T20 match by 3 wickets.
Yusuf Pathan got Player of the Match award while Shane Watson got Player of the series tournament award.
