Kieron Pollard is an aggressive all rounder who represents West Indies. He was born in 1987 in Trinidad and Tobago. Right handed batsman plays at the middle order and is popular for hitting big shots. Right arm medium pace bowler also plays domestic cricket for Trinidad and Tobago. Pollard made his International debut in 2007 World Cup against South Africa when he was included in 15 members West Indies squad. But he couldn’t impress much with his performance. Many questions raised on Lara’s captaincy when he gave chance to Pollard to play games in Super Eight games although he had not played cricket before internationally. He has played 80 games so far and has scored nearly 2000 runs with an average of 27 including 3 centuries and 6 half centuries. When it comes to bowling domain, he has got success in taking 40 wickets as yet with an average of 38. His best score is of 119 (not out) that he scored against India in 2011 but his this crucial knock couldn’t save his side from being defeated. Pollard also represents his side in T20 format. He was included in West Indies 30 men squad for 2007 ICC World Twenty20 but he didn’t play for his side. In 2010 IPL season, he was picked up by Mumbai Indians. He has played 35 T20 matches so far and has added 500 runs with an average of 21 including 2 fifties. He has also taken 16 wickets with an average of 29. Pollard was declared Man of the Match in the final game of IPL 2013 for his all round performance. In 2009, Pollard got a chance to play for Trinidad and Tobago in Champions League and he performed outstandingly and smashed 54 runs in just 18 deliveries against New South Wales. He was declared Man of the Match for this swashbuckling knock and played crucial role for his side in winning the game. In ICC World T20 tournament also he was included in West Indian squad.
