Usman Ghani is one of the youngest players in Afghanistan cricket team. He was born in November 20, 1996 in Afghanistan. He earned his fame and got famous at a very young age. The young player is a right-handed batsman. He is the opening batsman in the cricket team. He has given tremendous performances and made his ODI debut in May 1, 2014 against Hong Kong at Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur in Asian Cricket Council Premier League 2014. In this ODI, he scored 70 runs with 4 sixes and 6 fours and also took a wicket. He played the next ODI against UAE and scored 55 runs. He is the most essential player in the Afghanistan cricket team and a leading run scorer.

Usman Ghani gave one of his best performances in the ODI held in July 20, 2014 against Zimbabwe. It was held on Bulawayo in Zimbabwe at Queen Sports Club. The ODI become the one man show as he was the leading run scorer for his team. Currently Ghani is playing T20 matches in Kabul against various teams. He is also the member of the Amo Sharks team. He also played a match against Nepal in May 7, 2014 in Kuala Lumpur as a part of the Afghanistan cricket team. Ghani is enhancing his batting skills and becoming a good batsman which will help to lead Afghanistan cricket team in future. He made his place in the Afghanistan cricket team by his marvellous performances and become popular in his motherland.
