Rain interrupts a fighting match of the Ultratech super 4s series - In the fourth match of the Ultratech Super 4s Twenty 20 tournament the Southern Express and Yaal Blazers came face to face. In this match the Southern Express after winning the toss elected to bat first. Batting first the team had a good 45 runs first wicket partnership. Jehan Mubarak the batsman to come in next too continued the momentum for the team. The top three batsmen scored 70 runs in just 9th over of the game losing two wickets. But after getting a great start from the top order the middle order collapsed like a pack of cards. Only Farveez Maharoof showed some resistance as he along with Mubarak scored some runs for the team. Both these batsmen took their team to a total of 139 in 20 overs. Alankara Asanka Silva was the top bowler for the balling side as he took 4 wickets giving away only 25 runs.

While chasing the team didn’t start well losing two early wickets in the first 4 overs. They managed to score only 21 runs and lost 2 wickets. The match was moving onto a great end when the weather interrupted the game. It rained heavily in the stadium and hence the match was called off without any result. Both the teams shared 1 point each in the tournament.
