Red Steel’s win yet another match with a dominant performance - In the 19th match of the Caribbean Premiere League the St Lucia Zouks hosted the Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel. This was a match between the table toppers and the team which was at the bottom of the table. The Zouks were put into bat by the Red Steel and the decision proved to be the correct one. The highly confident balling side kept on taking wickets regularly thus making it difficult for the Zouks to score runs. The 1st over saw the wicket of Johnson Charles. The 2nd wicket fell in the 3rd over of the game. Run scoring was difficult for the team and hence in the 11th over the team was confided to just 49/3. Andre Fletcher and Keddy Lesporis scored 24 runs and 22 runs respectively. Sohail Tanveer played a knock of 18 runs while Tino Best scored 11 runs. Apart from them no one was able to cross the double figure mark. The team was able to score only 117 runs and were bowled out with 1 ball remaining in the innings. Kevon Cooper, Dwayne Bravo and Shannon Gabriel took 3 wickets each to give their team an upper hand in the match.

Kevin O’Brien the dangerous and inform batsman for the Red Steel lost his wicket in the 3rd over after scoring 9 runs. Evin Lewis and Ross Taylor had a good partnership that took their team to a score of 108 before Lewis lost his wicket after scoring 59 runs. Taylor scored 35 runs and thus took his team cross the required runs in the 15th over of the game. It was a comfortable win for the Red Steel and with this win they also earned the 2 points. Ray Jordan took 2 wickets for his team. Shannon Gabriel was awarded the player of the match award for his good bowling display.
