Arnos Vale Ground is one of the best cricket stadiums located in Kingstown. It is a multipurpose stadium which is open to all types of games and that is why this stadium hosts a variety of games to entertain the people. The Arnos Vale Ground is also known as Playing Fields and very popular in the state. It is a small stadium with the seating capacity of 18,000 people only. The cricket ground was inaugurated in the year 1981 and the first one day international match was held between England and West Indies. It was a very exciting match with the host team winning it by just 2 runs. So it was a very close game and the audiences just went crazy. Though a number of international matches are played on this ground but it is also the home ground of the team Windward Islands. As the stadium is not so spacious, therefore it is mostly used to host the cricket as well as the football matches. Since its establishment, a number of changes have been made to the stadium with the renovation work being handled by the association. The Windward Islands Cricket Board is responsible for the maintenance as well as the necessary renovation of this stadium.
