Sheikh Zayed Stadium

Several beautiful cricket stadiums are known on which numerous matches have been played. Sheikh Zayed Stadium is one of them. This stadium is located in the beautiful Arabian city Abu Dhabi. The total cost of making this playground is 22 million US dollars. It is one of the most stunning and optimum cricket grounds. The opening ceremony on this sports ground took place in the second week of May, 2004. The first class match played on this ground was between Kenya and Scotland in November for Intercontinental cup. The ground is subjugated by 2 very large stands at both ends. It has a total seating capacity of 20000 people and has well-resourced facilities for the spectators. This sports ground has milky floodlight facilities. No pavilion is there in the stadium but it has big changing rooms. The teams can watch the match from inside AC glass rooms.  This is a total new attraction for the sports persons and is a novel venue in Sharjah. This venue is approx half an hour drive from the metropolis. The location of the ground is in a remote area. Pakistan and Indian played a 'Friendship Series' here in Apr, 2006. This series was projected to raise 10 million US dollars for the earthquake relief fund. Out of that, 75 % of the earnings went to Pakistan and 25% to India.
