Has issues like match fixing is showing signs of victory of money over fame

Past few weeks has been very bad for the IPL, obviously for the bad reasons. The image and strata that IPL created over the years, was in question, as what should never have happened.

There is no doubt that IPL is a platform where new faces have the chance to prove themselves. On the other hand, the financial security that IPL provides to the players is also immense. 

But past weeks have shown, that money always weighs heavier than fame. 

Has money over taken the fame? 
Yes, it is definitely bad that matches or players are involved in match fixing because it hurts the fans following and people who follow the game closely.
I am of the view that people involved in the match fixing should be caught and punished in such a way that that it creates an example for everybody and they do not dare to do such an act even in the future.
On the other hand, betting too has caught fire and if somebody says that they weren't aware of this fact earlier, then I must call him a fool.
It was always known that many people, in India, outside India, Dons, mango people, students, employed whether it be amount in Crores, Lakhs, Thousand or Hundreds, betting has been happening since first season. What can be done for this is do not allow betting to be done by players involved or management involved, let rest of them do it, as it is their personla matter of interest.

Yeah, things are getting worse day by day. This type of events not only affects the sentiments of the people, but also affects the reputation of the IPL.

 

In the last 5 years, IPL has earned higher strata in the world level and they are now a dominating authority for league cricket. But due to the allegation of match fixing, its image has been badly hit. It can jeopardize the working of this league and hence the need of the hour is to keep patience and help the league gain its image back.

 

A strong punishment to all involved in the match fixing should be given. And BCCI should set an example in front of the rest of the world.
