After today's game the icc has decided following restrictions on gayle.
1. He will play only 24 balls (4 overs) only. Afterwards he will be retired hurt. 
2. Only one six and one four per over. 
3. Strike rate of more than 250 percent will be fined. 
4. He should run at least two singles in an over. 
5. There will be no fielding restrictions when gayle is batting. 
6 . If any spectator catches the ball he is out

Haaaaa, it quit good and I love these comments. But one thing is certain, we all praise gayle for his good innings but he does have that class that Sachin holds. He may be a good hitter, but nowhere a player who can play like Sachin.

But as we need fast results these days, So does our player of choice are changing.

@skyshot: Why are you still stuck in the past? Why don't you try to look into present and coming future?
What is cricket? It is a game where you score runs and then bowlers bowl to defend that total. And to score runs, you need talent and of course class but when the same runs can be scored without showing class, what's wrong in that? He someone hits a boundary with class, we don't give 6 runs for that, it's still a four.....
Cricket is played to determine wins and losses and not to see who played or who batted with better class. So as for me, whoever has class can keep it to themselves or preserve it and just go out there and score runs which people really wants to see. Do live up to people's expectations and do not disappoint them....

This is all crap. I mean i Enjoy it, but not that much as I used to enjoy when 2003 world cup or 2011 world Cup. IPL is like cracker, it burst and then no fun. But main format of game like world cups are like Drugs, they keep bind people for long. I never saw ShahaJaha Matches, But as older people say, it was among the much waited events.

But as you said rightly, world is changing fast, so does the game scenario.

You accept it or not, A six hitted in ICC T20 world or 50 over world cup is equal to the 100 sixes hitted in IPL..........isn't it.

And one more thing, Money always surpasses the class. That's what happening in IPL. You cannot Judge a player for his 4 over game.

See only those players are performing in IPL, those who have performed better in other formats of the game, especially the bowlers.

@skyshot: What you call crap is just your mere frustration coming out as Sachin Tendulkar is not at all performing in so called money minded Tournament of yours. Not to forget, he is the one playing in IPL as well and you can see him playing those ugly slogs as well when he is not able to score quick runs. When he can accept that this is the way to score quick runs, why can't you?
Yes, T20 International sixes and 50 Over World Cup sixes remain in memories for long because not of class but because they are being played at World Level or International Level while IPL is just a country tournament exactly precise to be called a League.
Its a different opinion of what is drug and what is cracker. As per me, this tournament IPL lasts for complete 2 months and is my drugs for 2 months as well as cracker. I watch cricket to entertain myself and I like seeing runs coming instead of how they are coming.

What you said is totally right. But isn't it difficult to forget sachin playing.

And as far as drugs and cracker is concerned, Perception differs man!. But surely I am losing little interest in Sixes, because they are frequent in IPL. What excites me is that, how far someone has hit.

You never know, there will be prizes for hitting the longest sixes.

Your losing interest in sixes doesn't mean that boundaries are better than sixes, isn't it?
Sixes are frequent in IPLs and this is a good news. This is what everybody wants and if something is happening as per expectation or desires, you must be happy about it.
Do not be sad bro if Sachin is not playing well. Enjoy the game.

@ Haaaa ardent supporter of Dhoni..isn't. I have lot more players to consider them as idol, but the difficult part is that, Dhoni is leader not a player. And I respect, because no leader, no team. But if no team, then what the hell leader will do. ;;)

@ what has my liking for Dhoni to do with Leadership skills of his.
He is one of the best wicket keeper of the world.
He is the currently the best batsmen in the world in ODI format.
He is the only wicket keeper batsmen from India to have hit a double century in Test and that too against the likes of fast bowlers from Australia.
He has won more than 20 games single handedly for Team India leave alone IPL.
U have lot other players to consider as idol, then why are you still stuck in the past...Grow up from Teen and step into manhood, kid.

@skyshot: What you think absurd is your fear that Sachin  is no longer the talk of Indian cricket since Dhoni has stepped into Indian Team Arena.
The stats above is just to remind you of the fact that the person you just called non player has acheived almost everything in short time than what Sachin has done in more than 20 years.
Do not be so comparative and fearful as no body will come in the way of Tendulkar's stats. I am not pointing the scores, I am telling you the feat he has achieved which only brought glory to the team and not him.

@skyshot: Why are you worried if Gayle has not fired in just 2 matches? If you see many players who have more recognition have failed in all of the games they have played till so far in the IPL.
Example: Sachin Tendulkar has played 9 matches so far and so same can be said about him they he has been fused by all other 8 teams in IPL so far.
People these days clap on his dismissals at his home ground only which is a sad part.
Sachin was at his peak and after winning the world cup, he had achieved everything. He should have given that up then when he was at his peak. He is now struggling for runs, for form which is very clearly seen by every body. He failed in Australian series as well as so far in IPL.

Is it, I don't think so, He can only hit straight balls. He struggles to bat when there is a swing in ball, or ball delivered close to his body.
