2831 - Runs scored by CSK in 2012. This is the most runs scored by any team in a single season.

6 - Number of players who picked up more than 15 wickets and scored more than 200 runs as well in single IPL season. In this Pollard features twice. Amazing talent.

9 - Jacques Kallis has hit 9 fifties for his team in a losing cause. Shikhar Dhawan follows him with 7 fifties in losing cause.

469 - Number of runs scored in a single match in IPL. Match was played in 2010 between CSK and RR. This is the highest scoring match of all seasons till date and you never know when will it break.

16 - Numbers of wickets taken as bowled by a bowler in a single season. It can be none other than Lasith Malinga, yorker king also most famously known as Slingaaaaaa....

33 - Number of wickets taken by a bowler at single venue. Albie Morkel has taken 33 wickets in Chennai.

6 - Fifty plus partnership between Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane in 2012. This is highest by any pair in single season of IPL.

11 - Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals have been bowled out 11 times in IPL. This is the most number of times in IPL.
5 - Number of times a single team has made to play off level in 5 seasons of IPL. Only CSK is the team to achieve this feat.

4 - Number of times a single team has made to final of IPL in 5 seasons. Again CSK is the only team to have made to the finals 4 times out of 5.

2 - Number of times IPL trophy won. Only CSK has won the IPL Trophy twice and that too consecutively in 2010 and 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

Kallis has been dismissed 7 times without scoring in the IPL - including four golden ducks...

I think someone surpassed that Kallis record in this IPL 6 by getting out 8th time on duck. Will update the name as soon as I recall.

Yes, so finally the person name has been recalled and it is Manish Pandey who has been dismissed eight times on duck in all IPL seasons. This is the most number of times for any batsmen getting out on duck.

This IPL seems to have already witnessed most of the ducks. Almost everyday one or two batsmen has been dismissed on duck in IPL 6.
Too many golden ducks as well.
Yesterday S Anirudha went for duck as well playing his first match of IPL 6.

Although these numbers looks very luring but still i am not getting feeling of remembering these and reason! well first of all so many matches having only one aim (Get the ball hell out of the ground) is making things little less interesting then any other forms cricket.

If you haven't understood what i am trying to say, Just answer this simple Question ' Which was better- Yuvraj hitting six sixes in (international T20) or same person hitting in IPL. Caught your emotions, isn't. Surely we all of us liked those sixes.

But Diwan we cannot underestimate the hard work done by the new boys of India.  In the mean time IPL can increase adrenalin to minute levels, but  International T20 is the real cracker!.

I am only a fan of Dhoni and nothing else. I watch match only when he comes to bat and watch only till he bats.
Yes, hitting six sixes doesn't happen quite often, in fact one in a life time. But I would always prefer Dhoni hitting sixes than any one else.
And IPL is never a boring game, infact it brings out your best as to how you understand foreign players, communicate best with them and more importantly play best with them.
This tournament also makes foreigners well aware of how pitch in India is and how do they behave.
Now talking about hitting sixes, yes this is the most liked shot by anyone who plays, ofcourse little master fans are often interested only in boundaries but being a fan of most strong and best hitter of the ball, I would always love six than any wristy or classy shots.
