So a low scoring match but an interesting one to watch as
two strong teams of the CPL were against each other. Barbados tridents came to
bat first and their opening batsman Dwayne Smith and Raymon Reifer played too
good and both of them scored 52 and 22 runs respectively. But then after them
the run rate of the team was very slow. Pollard could not able to score a
single run and was out by the veteran bowler Muttiah Muralidaran. Although
Dwayne Smith was till the end and was providing confidence to the opposite
player on the crease, none of the player could actually hit the out of the
boundary. They have had wickets in their hands, but still they couldn’t hit
those much needed shots. So finally they put up a score of 113 for 4 wickets. Muttiah
Muralidaran was the bowler who restricted Barbados from scoring much and he
took 3 wickets and just gave 12 runs in 4 over!
But then came turn of the Jamaica Tallawahs. Since the score
was not too much to be scored, they easily achieved the target. They scored 114
runs in 18.1 over and 6 wickets in hand.
