Andre Russell guide the Tallawahs home against Hawksbills - Antigua Hawksbills played their first home game against the Jamaica Tallawahs. After losing the first game against the Barbados Tridents the Hawksbills after winning the toss elected to bat first. The home team didn’t start off well as they lost the first wicket in the second over itself. Kieran Powell along with Ricky Ponting managed to take the team past the 50 run mark. The 2nd wicket of the team fell in the 10th over leaving the team at 62/2. After the fall of 2nd wicket the team never came back in the match. The middle order batsman failed miserably. Powell was the only batsman who scored some runs for the team. He managed to score 38 runs. At the end of 20 overs the team managed to score only 117 runs. Vernon Philander managed to take 3 wickets giving away only 16 runs.

The Tallawahs chasing the small score of 117 didn’t have a good start. They lost the 1st wicket in the 3rd over of the innings. The second wicket of the team fell in the 7th over of the game. The score of the Tallawahs was 41 when the 2nd wicket fell. The team was in trouble when at the score of 51 the 3rd wicket of the game fell. It was Danza Hyatt and Andre Russell who managed to take his team home. Russell scored 42 runs in 23 balls and with this the Tallawahs scored 120 runs in just 17th over of the innings. Sheldon Cottrell was the best bowler for the home team giving away only 11 runs in his three overs. Philander won the man of the match award for his bowling performance. With this win the Tallawahs earned the most important 2 points.
