Lahore Lions wins to survive in the tournament - The 14th match of the Oppo Champions League saw Lahore Lions take on the challenge from Dolphins. This match had a great importance as both the teams needed a win to have any hope for qualifying for the next round. This match was being played in Bengaluru. After winning the toss the Lahore Lions decided to bat first.

Batting first the team had a pathetic start to the innings. They lost many wickets in the start and soon it looked that the team has lost all the hopes for the next round. The team lost 4 wickets in just 7.2 overs at a score of 34 runs. Later Saad Nasim and Umar Akmal came as the saviours for their team as they together took their team to a score of 126 runs in 16 overs. In the first ball of the 17th over Saad Nasim lost his wicket after scoring 43 runs in 26 balls. Akmal on the other hand continued his batting exploits as he scored 73 unbeaten runs and took his team to a score of 164 runs in 20 overs. Robbie Frylinck was the best bowler taking 3 wickets for the team.

Dolphins needed a good start to make sure that they have some chances for qualifying. They lost first 4 wickets in just 9 overs. They were able to score 56 runs in 8.4 overs. Morne van Wyk the opener who scored 36 runs in 29 balls and was the 4th wicket to fall. The team kept struggling for runs and wicket kept on falling. Later on Robbie Frylinck showed some resistance and raised hopes for the dolphins. He scored 63 runs in 27 balls but that was not enough as the team managed to score only 148 runs thus losing the match. With this loss the Dolphins also bade out of the tournament while Lahore Lions still held chances of making it to the Semi-finals.

Robbie Frylinck won Suzuki Gixxer Power Player award while Umar Akmal was named Oppo Man of the Match. Both the players won USD 2500 as prize money.
