5th Match of IPL 6 played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat and were under lot of pressure as half of their team were back to Pavillion without much score on the board. Tendulkar got out for a duck and this acted as blessing in disguise. Pollard came to crease much longer than CSK would have wanted. He finished up hitting 5 massive sixes and 4 boundaries in his unbeaten 57.
Mumbai Indians have defeated Chennai Super Kings in their home ground by 9 runs.
Amazing batting performance from Pollard who scored valuable fifty and when Dhoni threatened to take the game away single handedly, Pollard pulled off a blinder at the boundary line cutting off a six and dismissing Dhoni when only 12 runs were needed.
Dhoni scored 51 of just 26 runs.
Munaf Patel bowled economical spells too.
Well done by K Pollard (winning side) and good performance by MS Dhoni (losing side).
But in the end all that counts is which team won. Mumbai Indians will be relaxed after winning this one as they have already their first game by close margin.

Dhoni was caught brilliantly by Pollard which was a turning point for CSK... If there were still 12 runs required it would not have been a problem if Dhoni was in the crease...

@jeevan vas: If we had either Jadeja or Albie Morkel even after Dhoni got out, it was very much gettable in remaining 5 balls.
But the worthy point is that that was a hell lot of catch from Pollard. Simply astonishing.
He has so far taken three most difficult catches in the year 2013 and if the same continues, i don't doubt that if you search youtube in 2014 for top 10 spectacular catches in 2013, it will display all 10 from Pollard. His palms are like basket. He can catch football with one hand i guess, these cricket balls in IPL is just like marbels for him.
What a player, what an athelete. Simply amazing.
