You can see that 60% of the players is from CSK in top 5. Simply the reason is that this team has dominated the IPL in all 5 seasons, making for playoffs in all the seasons.

The owner of CSK has made a very good decision to retain valuable players of CSK including captain Dhoni....

Dhoni and Raina is the most valuable player that CSK have with likes of Jadeja, Morkel and Bravo. Hussey and Vijay does the opener role and Badrinath does the anchoor role. Every body in the team has a designated role for IPL and they fulfill it nicely so CSK is one of the most dominating team in IPL.

But there is something not good at these figures. Playing excessive matches will lead to more injuries. We should not forget the fact that, IPL never shows the true potential of cricket match.

Still I would say that the true talent of players are seen in the international matches. But it is good that, people who were not getting chance to play in the international matches, are getting the chance to display their potential here.

As far as I think that most of the Indian players are picked up for International squad based on their performances in IPL as well.
As far as injuries are concerned, why is that Dhoni and Raina never got injured and were available for all the matches in all the 5 seasons?
Caution and good eye sight along with balanced body is very essential for IPL because IPL is a long tournament. When franchises pay you high, there is expectation involved as well.
