Today Otago and Rajasthan Royals were playing against each
other. Royals won the toss and elected to field first. Otago started well but
their middle order got completely failed. BB McCullum and DC de Boorder got out
on zero runs, thanks to the bowling by R Shukla. But then other batsman that
came in were really good. RN ten Doeschate, JDS Neesham and IG Butler scored
26, 32 and 25 runs respectively and helped the score to reach 139. Not the types
of score for which Otagos are known, but today their batting attack, could not
do better. R Shukla from Royals did really very good bowling and also managed
to give 1 maiden over.
Now batting second, Royals opening batsman did really
well. AM Rahane as usual played really good shots and managed to score 52 runs
out of 48 balls. Interestingly, the middle of Royals was not able to play good
and the only batsman who made another fifty to save the match for royal is BJ
hodge, whose scored 52 runs out of 23 balls, which includes 3 sixes and 4
fours. Neesham from otago took maximum (3) wickets from their side.
